Drum production

We’ve recorded hundreds of drum sessions for everyone from Ari Lennox to Cattle Decapitation. At 800 square feet we have one of the biggest drum rooms in all of Colorado and the drums we record in there sound as big as our room.

Our three house kits, a Yamaha Tour Custom, Gretsch Renown, and vintage Slingerland kit can get you just about any sound you want. Studio A features 25 channels of world class preamps and 8 channels of compression providing you with nearly unlimited sonic possibilities.

FAQs

How much does drum recording cost?

Drum recording costs $100/hour or $650 for a day (up to 8 hours) full day session. Any hourly recording sessions will also incur a $100 setup/teardown fee. If you want profession drum teching and tuning from our house tech Nate that will incur an additional $100 fee (this service can be included without additional charge on any multi-day sessions).

What is the setup/teardown fee?

This means that you won’t be charged hourly for the time we spend plugging in mics or setting up the house kits and that everything will be as setup as possible when you arrive for you session. Do note that the fine tuning on mic placement and line checks will be charged hourly but should go rather quickly since everything will be setup when you arrive.

Am I required to use your drum tech?

No, but we highly recommend this service if you don’t feel comfortable tuning your drums.

Do I have to use your house kits?

Nope! We love getting to record new kits! We can also mix and match between your kits and our house kits to get the best possible setup for your session.

What will i leave the session with?

We will send you home with .WAV multitracks of everything we recorded. This could be final takes that we comp together in person or every single drum take we record for you to comp on your own. We also offer professional drum editing starting at $50 for single songs or as low as $30 for multiple songs.
